It’s official: Lil Wayne will hop on any track if the money’s right. Here is Weezy F. Baby (albeit stealing the show) on yet another “Paper Planes”-sampling track from the most boring MC in hip-hop, Jim Jones, titled “Jackin’ Swagga From Us.” Jones serves as the centerpiece to this four MC throw down, and he somehow ends up coming off as the second best, as Baltimore’s Noe (who is signed to Jones’ ByrdGang) tries his best to sound like Jay-Z (he even name-checks Burberry) and Twista milks the last few moments of his fame as a rapper who raps really fast and has nothing to say.
Can we end this love affair with “Paper Planes” now? I mean when no-talents like Jones starts getting in on the act, you know the song is way past being played-out. It’s dead. [Pitchfork]
