On her debut album Devotion, English songstress Jessie Ware gets a lot of mileage out of what could be appropriately called "midnight music." You know the type: deliciously down-tempo, sensual-but-sinister sounds that call to mind those lonely hours just before dawn.
To her credit, Ware has tapped into this aesthetic with a love of shadowy visuals. There's her monochrome album cover, and now we get the video for that record's "Night Light." Directed by Chris Sweeney, Ware finds links between big pop moments and more experimental flourishes. The video's grayscale minimalism only serves to heighten the tension. Watch it below.
