You've got to be pretty lacking in self-consciousness to deliver lines like "With your blonde hair made of light/as you see through time with your hazel eyes," which Jeremy Jay would presumably be doing if one could see him sing "Where Could We Go Tonight," the closer from his forthcoming Slow Dance. Either about searching for something to do with your friends or negotiating privacy in hook-up logistics, disco feelings hang around the periphery of this track, keeping just enough distance for it to be called "rock," but staying close enough not to discourage dancing, maybe some comfortable drunk swaying. Slow Dance is out on K Records March 24.
