Jenny Lewis is essentially the closest thing we have to 70s Linda Ronstadt here in 2009, if only Ronstadt had been just a little more country. "Black Sand" just pushes that idea a little further, with its washed out look, coupled neatly with Lewis' very vintage aesthetic. Wouldn't it be great to hear Lewis belt out "Blue Bayou?"
