It’s the 30th anniversary of Bob Marley’s untimely death this week, and Jimmy Fallon is playing tribute to the reggae star by inviting musical guests onto his show to cover the singer’s work. Jennifer Hudson stepped up to the task last night (May 11), delivering this version of the Natty Dread classic “No Woman, No Cry.” This is certainly far better than the previous night’s misstep of getting Chris Cornell on the show, and the Roots provide a suitably tasteful backing that allows Hudson to let her impressive voice soar.
