Jean Grae: "R.I.P." f. Styles P & Talib Kweli

After numerous delays surrounding any album or mixtape with her name tied to it, Jean Grae has two new projects on the way, Cookies Or Comas and Cake Or Death. I'm guessing that the former, which is due out soon, will be a mixtape-centric affair and serve as a precursor for Cake Or Death.

And so far, Cookies Or Comas is sounding pretty solid. At least, that's how I'm feeling after hearing the latest leak, "R.I.P." The grimy, Ski Beatz-producer track has actually been around since January 2010. But back then it was called "Rock in the Pocket and only existed as a radio rip. Everything might be the same here on the finished version -- well, except for the cleaner production -- but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The song was ill back then and it's just as ill today.
