Jaylib: "Louder (Blast Your Radio Theme)"
The eleventh entry in Madlib's (sort of) monthly series, Madlib Medicine Show, is perhaps the most interesting of them all. It's filled with tracks from projects that saw their master tracks destroyed by a fire. That's why, perhaps, it's appropriate he chose to name this entry Low Budget High Fi Music as most of the tracks are especially dusty and gritty.
Driving that point home is the supposed first track off Madlib and the late J Dilla's planned second Jaylib album. And like on most of the cuts on the debut, the focal point of "Louder (Blast Your Radio Theme)" is the production. Dilla presumably laced the beat, which is absolutely wild, for this one as Madlib handles the vocal duties. He's not the best MC by any means, but his goofy flow is just kind of...fitting.
