Holy Ghost: Interview

Jay-Z

"On to the Next One" and Interview (Live on Jonathan Ross) (Video)

Jay-Z was in London to perform at the Brit Awards this week, and he also took some time to appear on Jonathan Ross’s late night talk show. The hip-hop star sat down with Ross to talk about various topics, including his relationship with Barack Obama—apparently the President was working out to The Blueprint when Jay-Z called to congratulate him on snagging the Democratic nomination.

Thankfully, he didn’t perform “Empire State of Mind” for the thousandth time, instead choosing to give the vastly superior “On to the Next One” an airing, complete with a full backing band. It’s a decent performance, and proves that it’s impossible to hear the song without ending up with a gigantic “On to the Next One/On to the Next One/On to the Next One/On to the Next One” earworm.
