
Much like the the freestyle/interview we posted last month, this latest unearthed gem from Jay-Z stems from before the release of his classic debut, 1996's Reasonable Doubt. This freestyle is from '94 and features Jigga trading bars with Red Handed for the better part of six minutes. It's always interesting hearing stuff like this from Jay's pre-Reasonable Doubt days, if only to hear how youthful and energetic he was back then. You know, before he became a chill, laid-back boss who only rarely got fired up. And when he did, he barely ever rapped as quickly as he did here and during other freestyles.
