Jay Reatard dropped in at the University of Minnesota’s Radio K to record a bunch of songs (some from his In the Red album Blood Visions, and some from his upcoming Matador album Matador Singles ’08).
The in-studio session, which you can stream here, is a good representative (minus the thrashing, the fighting, and the sweating, of course) of Jay’s live shows; he barely takes any time off in between songs, and shouts the title for the next one before quickly launching into it with reckless abandon.
Matador Singles ’08 is due out on October 7.
