Jay Electronica: "The Announcement" f. John F. Kennedy
I think it's safe to assume most of you reading this are really hoping that Jay Electronica's signing to Jay-Z's Roc Nation means we'll get more music from the self-described hip-hop wizard sooner than later. I know it's likely to go either way, but I have some faith considering how much more J. Cole has been put out there since joining Jay-Z's team.
And Jay Elect's latest track, "The Announcement," has him sounding pretty damn hungry, too. So I'm banking on the fact this new, aptly titled cut could result in an increased output. Either way, "The Announcement," which features references to the Roc and JFK vocal samples, is another case of lyrical dominance by one of the most sought after MCs of the past five years.
