Perhaps the best musical fireworks in L.A. last night were at a pre-Grammy party hosted the Roots, where they backed Jay Electronica, and his new hype-man Mos Def, as he ran through "Exhibit C." The Roots' beat is obviously less lush than the Just Blaze original, but they give the song a more tender feel, making it sound like a cut from Things Fall Apart. This hotter than the motherfucking sun, check the thermometer. [NahRight]
