Jawbox: "Savory" (Live on Fallon) (Video)

The members of legendary post-hardcore band Jawbox awoke from a 12-year hiatus last night (Dec. 8) to appear on Jimmy Fallon’s show. Far from joining the ‘90s bandwagon to make a quick buck, the band claimed this will be their only live performance, although they also ran through a few other songs at Fallon’s studio that weren’t broadcast on the show.

“Savory” is taken from the band’s major label debut, For Your Own Special Sweetheart, and while the members may look a little rough around the edges these days, the sound remains much the same. Singer J. Robbins maintains that the reunion begins and ends here, which would make it one of the oddest comebacks in recent memory.
