Javelin: "Cowpoke"
Anyone who says they expected dance duo Javelin's new album to be wholly fixated on the American West and the "frontier ballad songbook" is a total liar. Nonetheless, here we are with "Cowpoke," the first track to be revealed from Canyon Candy, the duo's second full-length album. It's a pretty straightforward track, packed with vocals and acoustic strums that, as intended, conjure up images of the sun setting over the horizon, vast expanses of wilderness, and other things usually associated with Westerns. Canyon Candy is due out April 16 via Luaka Bop.
