I Am Lost (And the Moment Cannot Last)
It’s been a few years since Grandaddy split acrimoniously, and it feels great to hear singer Jason Lytle’s falsetto again on his new solo material. He has an album, Yours Truly, the Commuter, due on ANTI- on May 19, which continues in a similar vein to Lytle’s former band.
“I Am Lost (And the Moment Cannot Last)” is similar in tone to Grandaddy’s "He's Simple, He's Dumb, He's the Pilot” from The Sophtware Slump. This track is much shorter than its predecessor, clocking in at just 2:20, and features some beautifully arranged strings, gurgling electronics and sorrowful piano.
