Given that their debut album, Post-Nothing, is only eight tracks, It's probably not that hard for Japandroids to do a totally great web performance show episode. I mean, they can do the three best tracks off their album without leaving anyone's favorite off the set list. Yesterday, the Vancouver duo did "Heart Sweats" for Pitchfork's A>D>D, and today comes this performance of "The Boys are Leaving Town." Presumably, the group will do "Young Hearts Spark Fire" tomorrow and we'll call it a wrap.
Post-Nothing is out now via Polyvinyl. [Pitchfork]
These cats are, like, KEWL. For those keeping score, I got it: Japandroids>Sic Alps>Times New Viking>No Age>Wavves.
I think they should write a song called "Shorts and a Fan" because the lead singer doesn't perform without them.
Good call. He totes doesn't.
If i had those curly Echo and the Bunnymen locks, i'd demand a fan too.
