Japandroids played one of the biggest shows of their very short career this past weekend when they appeared at the Siren Festival in Coney Island. Their reputation as a live band has already grown to an impressive level—a remarkable feat considering their debut album, Post-Nothing, only came out at the end of April.
Here, they perform a version of “Rockers East Vancouver” for Noisevox. Drummer David Prowse takes over on vocals for this track, and while the two-piece drums-guitar-vocals format is quickly getting old, Japandroids manage to fill this song with enough enthusiasm and energy to make it worthwhile.
