It’s taken a while for Japandroids to fill the void that trailed in the wake of their Post Nothing album, but the two-piece band has at least been road testing some new material in recent times. The recording above is taken from a show at the Bryan Street Tavern in Dallas, Texas, and showcases a song that “will be on the next record” according to the group. Not much has changed since Post Nothing—as “Adrenaline Nightshift” demonstrates, this is a band still hung up on a Husker Du-style melodic hardcore sound, and delivering it with supreme efficiency and joy.
