Jane's Addiction: "Irresistible Force" And "Stop" (Live On Kimmel) (Video)
Jane’s Addiction has a new album due titled The Great Escape Artist, which might raise a small amount of interest among indie rock fans due to its Dave Sitek production credit. The group appeared on Jimmy Kimmel’s show last night, performing “Irresistible Force” on the show’s vast outdoor stage. There’s not too much to get excited about there—it’s a plodding, barely realized tune that highlights why Jane’s Addiction is such a spent force these days—but we do at least get an energetic run-through of “Stop” from Ritual de lo Habitual. Which, let’s face it, is the kind of material most people want to hear from the band anyway.
