The Soloist, Jamie Foxx's attempt to return to shlocky Oscar fare after taking terrible roles in dreck like Stealth, tanked this weekend (only $9.72 million, a third the take of Obsessed, an awful-looking Beyonce vehicle), but I have a feeling Foxx probably doesn't care, since he was playing pop star on Kimmel's stage on Friday. Foxx delivered a heavily backing-track assisted version of current hit, "Blame It" (above), before doing a Timbaland-featuring version of "I Don't Need It" (below) to close the show. "I Don't Need It" is a stronger performance, since Foxx doesn't have to use an Auto-Tuner, and the classic R&B vibe allows Foxx and Timbaland to mug for the camera excessively.
Jamie Foxx's Intuition is out now.
