If you watched last night's posted clip of Jack White writing and performing a song in ten minutes, but were left wondering what the actual song sounded like, then here's the other half of the story. "Fly Farm Blues," which White wrote on film for Davis Guggenheim's upcoming guitar documentary It Might Get Loud, is nothing groundbreaking, especially for the White Stripes frontman. But it is pretty good, considering the restrictions. It consists of a sturdy, standard blues lick accompanied by White's unmistakable bark. And because it was recorded to tape, it has a nice warm sound that adds a feeling of vintage blues to the take.
"Fly Farm Blues" is available digitally or as a one-sided 7-inch from White's own Third Man Records. [Stereogum]
