J. Cole: "Lost Ones" (Unreleased)
Even though official news on J. Cole's forthcoming full-length debut is slow-coming, we're at least getting new and unreleased music every few weeks. Call it a consolation prize for our patience, if you want. The latest cut to leak from his vaults is "Lost Ones," a track that apparently stems from 2008 or earlier. If you have heard Cole's work from around that time, particularly The Come Up mixtape, you'll no doubt recognize the simplistic production style and more storytelling-centric rhymes. On "Lost Ones," Cole tells both sides of an unplanned pregnancy, which makes for one of his most emotional tracks to date.
