J. Cole: "Can't Get Enough" F. Trey Songz
Although this track leaked several weeks ago, J. Cole only recently decided to properly release his new single, "Can't Get Enough," to the world. And, well, it's a whole hell of a lot less divisive than his previous single, "Work Out," and it's also just a lot better in terms of quality. Cole is much more comfortable over the laid-back beat and bluesy guitars, though he is still doing that whole over-enunciated/stressed syllable thing. It works better here, though, even if it sounds like he's doing his best Kanye West impression. Then again, maybe I'm being too hard on the Fayetteville, N.C. native, who I want to see succeed when he drops his proper debut, Cole World: The Sideline Story, on Sept. 27.
