Iron & Wine: "Flightless Bird, American Mouth" (Live On Leno) (Video)
Iron & Wine’s Sam Beam may not be the first person you think of when the Twilight series comes to mind, but his “Flightless Bird, American Mouth” from the 2007 record The Shepherd’s Dog has featured in those films. According to Wikipedia, Kristen Stewart specifically requested the song be used in the 2008 Twilight feature, and Beam will no doubt be happy to rake in the cash once again, as it also features in the current Twilight: Breaking Dawn. This version of the song on Jay Leno’s show finds Beam joined by a set of female backing singers and a string section, who help to fill out this “wedding version” of the track. Check it out below.
