It will be interesting to see how Iron and Wine’s Kiss Each Other Clean fares on the Billboard chart this week, especially considering the sizable success of the Decemberists’ latest album and the fact that Sam Beam has shackled his band to a major label. His group has already been doing the late night TV circuit and made an appearance on La Blogotheque this week, but here they are again, performing “Me and Lazarus” from the new album for a session on the KCRW show Morning Becomes Eclectic. This is a sparsely arranged track with plenty of room for Beam to emote over the top, which funnels into a gradual creep into more upbeat territory as it reaches its climax.
