Iron and Wine performed on Fallon last night, busting out the simple "Godless Brother in Love" from their rarities compilation, Around the Well. Iron and Wine main man plucked on an acoustic guitar and was accompanied by a backing singer and a pianist. The song is kind of the opposite from the direction Iron and Wine were moving towards on The Shepherd's Dog, and that album's fuller sound.
Around the Well is out now via Sub Pop.

It's the "opposite" direction of The Shepherd's Dog because most of the songs are from earlier in his career and kept stripped or just re-recorded. Some of them area also from B-sides or itunes shows.
