The 60's swinging summer piano sample that's used to great effect in "Let's Get Down Together," the latest track from James Friley's Idiot Glee project, sounds an awful lot like the Four Tops "I Can't Help Myself." But, hey, when the result is as wonderful and hammock-breezy as "Together," it doesn't particularly matter. The hand percussion, that Motown-styled piano part, and Friley's vocals-- which have just the slightest touch of Roy Orbison on this track-- come together and create a fantastic summer barbecue soundtrack. The video is an impressionistic little thing with a lot of Friley's facial silhoutte in side profile. Check it out above. [YANP]
