In case she hasn’t made it clear with her recent performances on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and Later…With Jools Holland, Feist has picked “How Come You Never Go There” for the latest single off Metals. It’s a fine choice as the track is one of the album’s more radio-friendly moments with its rising chorus and catchy vocal moments. The track isn’t “1,2,3,4” catchy, but she’s clearly not going that route anymore. Beyond the ear-pleasing elements, there’s an overwhelming sense of loneliness that she’s fully embraced in the music video for “How Come You Never Go There.” It also shows us what Feist would look like if she decided to grow her hair out to the point it touched the ground.
