Hot Chip are currently on a U.S. tour in support of Made in the Dark, and while on a stop in L.A., the band ran through a new number called “Alley Cats.” The song seems to adhere to the understated vibe of Dark tracks like “Wrestlers” and “We’re Looking For a Lot of Love.” It’s not as irresistible as “Over and Over” (but then again, what is?), but it’s a tender song that will surely be a centerpiece on the band’s new album, which will reportedly be out sometime early next year.
