Hospitality’s debut album for Merge is one of the standout indie rock releases of the year so far, with the band expertly drawing on a mixture of ‘90s influences (Belly, Unrest, the Sea & Cake). The New York-based band also has a tight live show, which is mainly what garnered them attention in the first place. Here, on a session for the Alternate Side on WFUV, Hospitality performs “Eighth Avenue” and “All Day Today,” which are two great example of the band’s cheery sound, which singer Amber Papini effortlessly decorates with her chirpy vocal style.
