Holy Ghost: "I Wanted To Tell Her" (Video)
The cover of Ministry’s “I Wanted to Tell Her” by Holy Ghost! has already been around for a little under month, but it just got given a suitably frantic music video. Guest vocalist Nancy Whang from LCD Soundsystem/The Juan Maclean got to live out all her ‘80s fantasies in the clip, which resembles a cross between Dirty Dancing and Flashdance. Whang even gets to demonstrate her superior BMX skills at one point during the video, while her bandmate in the Juan Maclean delivers some hokey dialogue. The indie/electro scene clearly isn’t done plundering popular ‘80s tropes yet, but there’s just enough wit and inspiration on display here to make it worth it.
