“Hold Me Down” and “My Time” (Live on Kimmel) (Video)

Seattle indie rockers Minus the Bear have a new album out titled Omni, and they appeared on Jimmy Kimmel’s show last night (June 23) to perform two tracks from the record. Like everyone else in the Pacific Northwest, the guys in Minus the Bear sport big beards, big hair and play with an intensity that suggests something is most definitely in the water up there.

“Hold Me Down” is driven by hollowed-out Buzzcocks-meets-Wedding-Present guitars and stabs of analog synth, while album opener “My Time” shows the band’s funkier side, bearing a sparse sound and tough beats from drummer Erin Tate. Omni is out now on the Dangerbird Records label.
