High Places have released so many videos from last year’s Original Colors that it’s hard to keep track of them all. The latest song to get the visual treatment is “The Pull,” which is one of the spookier tracks, full of skittering beats and a wafer-thin vocal from Mary Pearson. The clip includes plenty of shots of the natural world, continuing the duo’s longstanding fascination with rural imagery, plus a number of shots of the duo and a few other folk. This gets back to the kind of quietly joyful tracks this band produced earlier in its career, which will be a welcome sound to anyone mourning the poppier direction High Places has moved in over the past couple of records. Check out the video for “The Pull” below.
