This video definitely seems like it was directed by a band that's relocated to Los Angeles from Brooklyn. The duo's clothing and expressions are still intellectual, and shots are chosen not to augment sex appeal but rather for their artistic implications. Yet sunlight contrasts deeply with shadows and California foliage abounds. "The Longest Shadows" is from High Places' upcoming sophomore LP High Places vs. Mankind, which is coming out March 23 under much pressure thanks to the enormous success of their debut and subsequent release 03/07 - 09/07, a collection of their 7-inches. There's been a lot of talk about High Places' stylistic shift, but we're happy to find that the sound and aesthetic are still overall quite warm. [Speaker Snacks]
