Recent Thrill Jockey-signees High Places apparently played a pair of new tracks (off their forthcoming debut?) at Upset the Rhythm in London last month. The first track is a subdued affair, and Mary announces after it that it was the first time the band ever played that one. The second track is the highlight; it’s a percussive, slow walk through a bog.

If these tracks are indeed off the band's self-titled debut, coupled with first single "Visions the first..", that new album is already sounding pretty great. [Stereogum]
