Despite the fact that they haven’t even released a full-length album (there only “album” to date is 03/07-09-07 a eMusic-only compilation), you always know what to expect from Brooklyn’s High Places: a lot of sonic haziness, electronic, tribal percussion as the back beat, and echo-y, earnest vocals from lead singer Mary Pearson.
“From Stardust To Sentience” (the closing track from the duo’s excellent upcoming, self-titled Thrill Jockey debut) is no exception. The album, which finds High Places refining and expanding their sound, is due out on September 23. [Stereogum]

That excellent compilation is actually released on Thrill Jockey now. And youseem to make it out as though they are lazy or something. They tour relentlessly and record and write constantly, which is why there is never just "the album". They is always new stuff constantly bubbling out of there creative seems. The new album, by the way, is flawless.
