Last time we saw High Places it was in the bloody video for “Sonora” from Original Colors. Skip forward a month and the dup of Mary Pearson and Rob Barber have created a more wholesome clip for another track from the record—this time for the placid “Banksia.” The band is operating firmly within its comfort zone here—think: shades of blocky gamelan-inspired percussion, fragments of audio ephemera whipped up into the mix, and Pearson’s beautifully weary vocal passages. The clip mostly focuses on a woman who is getting dressed and heading out to a hillside, presumably in the duo’s adopted city of Los Angeles. Check it out below.
