Here We Go Magic: Tunnelvision (MP3)

Though Here We Go Magic has an obviously precious moniker, and one of the most self-conscious "about me" blurbs this writer has even seen on a band's myspace, the word magic seems pretty appropriate after listening to "Tunnelvision." Singer Luke Temple's flighty falsetto weaves in and out of the rambling, clanging instrumentation, and the looped incoherent voice in the background gives the track a strong preternatural feeling, like the song isn't meant for wherever you are. Here's to hoping there's more where this came from. [Pitchfork]
