This is a very cheerful pop song -- typical of the Illinois band Headlights -- but the video throws in some macabre elements: a poisonous birthday cake, bleeding eyes, and a final scene in which the band members lie dead.
Accordingly, guitarist and songwriter Tristan Wraight says that “this is a significantly personal record for us, and for very real reasons, like growing up and people dying that you love."
“Get Going” is off of Wildlife, Headlights’ third album, which came out Oct. 6 on Polyvinyl Records.
