“Hate Worldwide” (Live on Kimmel) (Video)

It’s rare to see metal bands on the late night TV talk show circuit, although occasionally certain acts will force their way in, usually by force of record sales or by attaining legendary status. Slayer firmly belongs in the latter category, and appeared on Jimmy Kimmel’s show last night (May 20) to deliver a track from last year’s World Painted Blood.

The best thing about this performance, apart from the fact that Slayer are clearly still one of the tightest metal bands out there some 29 years into their career, is the fact that a black hole-like mosh pit opens up and devours countless fans as soon as the performance starts. And that’s something you most definitely won’t see on Letterman or Leno.
