Handsome Furs: "Repatriated"
Handsome Furs are going all synths, no guitars on their new LP, Sound Kapital, which is something you only sort of understand until you start hearing tracks like the new single, "Repatriated." It's got a lot of synths, obviously. This is like Wolf Parade crossed with New Order, which is pretty awesome, in about every respect. I'm skeptical that this could be sustained over the course of an album, but at least it's better than Cold Cave. You can download the track below. Beware of that super NSFW cover art.
Sound Kapital is due out on June 28 via Sub Pop.
