If you're looking for Liquid Swords - turn the other cheek. If you're looking for GZA in 2008 - stick around. "Alphabets" holds the aesthetic grime of his previous efforts, but GZA plays it simple on the first single from the forthcoming album, Pro Tools - due out August 19 on Babygrande. Built around a cloudy lo-fi guitar loop created by producer True Master, its clear that the most important thing to GZA from the get go is the flow. Although the beat doesn't stand out as extraordinary, it plays the backbone to compliment the rhymes at hand. As for the rhymes? Well, we're talking about GZA here - just listen.

Always tight.. I might catch him and rza this saturday.
Only problem is theyre @ Wakefest... which will most likely be 14 yr old kids with no knowledge of the two gods.
...on second thought I probably wont go.
Simple beat, but still nice. You gotta listen to his songs a few times just to completely comprehend what he's got to say. His lyrics are so sharp.
Much respect due, GZA.
