Gruff Rhys: "Whale Trail"
Super Furry animals singer Gruff Rhys has released a new song titled “Whale Trail,” which coincides with the release of a new iPhone/iPad game of the same name. This is a typically jaunty piece of retro-infused pop from the singer, who is still pulling hard on the ELO influence that has pervaded throughout his career. But he does it with such skill that “Whale Trail” feels effortless, and it even takes a neat sci-fi turn about a third of the way through just to keep things fresh.
