Growing's an ominous name for anything because it makes you ask "Growing what?" In the case of this Brooklyn trio the answer is probably nothing nice. "Camera '84" is a track from Growing's upcoming full-length, Pumps, their first release on new label Vice Records. The track's three and a half minutes are a sprawling, cacophonic drone that does nothing to dispell that previously mentioned ominous feeling. Pumps is out April 6 on Vice Records.

Nice. I met the two dudes from the band last year and they got me drunk, so I'm wholeheartedly behind anything they do ;-) I like the Soundcloud interface for playing audio too.
I'm all about Soundcloud and yes bands that feed drinks are great too.
Not particularly bad for this style of music, but I'm just not a big fan of the group's direction over the last couple of albums. Their earlier LPs were long-form explorations of drone, perfectly plotted and with a dynamic structure. This newer stuff is too noisy to be dancey and too dancey to be noise. The vocals are not a good look.
It does exist in a strange place, as MFB pointed out.
I do prefer their spacier stuff, but this is some tense, driving stuff. I dig it. Not sure I could hang with it for a whole album, but this track is solid.
