Grouper: "Water People"

Liz Harris (better known as Grouper) released a couple of full-length records in the shape of Dream Loss and Alien Observer earlier this year, but she’s turned to a more limited format for her new project. “Water People” is a single recorded during a summer residency program Harris undertook, which is backed by a song titled “Moving Machine” that was captured at the same time. The former is streaming below and is a beautifully brittle piece from Harris, with a series of loops underpinning her mournful vocal.
