Grizzly Bear: "While You Wait For The Others" (Live on Carson Daly) (Video)

That car commercial featuring Grizzly Bear’s “Two Weeks” has become ubiquitous since the Super Bowl, and there really is no escape from that tinkle-y piano refrain and “oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh” vocal. Ed Droste and the boys are likely counting the lucre they’ve made from the brief commercial spot, and they did more promo last night (March 3) on Carson Daly’s show.

This performance of “While You Wait For the Others” seems to have been taken from a previously recorded slot at the Hollywood Palladium—which is the kind of thing that’s become a semi-regular feature on Daly’s show. It’s a fine run-through of one of the standout tracks on Veckatimest, full of pitch-perfect backing vocals and sparse guitar lines, and is likely to be one of the last pieces of promo for the album. Now we just have to hope that increasingly irritating commercial disappears soon.
