Pitchfork’s Cemetery Gates series wasn’t just going to broadcast one clip of Grizzly Bear performing live in a chapel. Today (Oct. 6), we get the second part in the series, with the penultimate track from Veckatimest, the Daniel Rosen song “I Live With You,” offering a more buoyant vibe than yesterday’s “Foreground.”
Naturally, there’s a sadness inherent in the song, as there is in most Grizzly Bear tracks. But “I Live With You” is about as close as they get to an upbeat ode, with the strident guitars descending into thick layers of distortion, and Ed Droste delivering some fizzy, Moog-esque keyboard noise.
