We’ve already heard “Heathen Child,” the lead track from the forthcoming Grinderman 2 by Nick Cave’s wonderfully entertaining side project, Grinderman. Now, this video has surfaced, which builds on the gladiatorial theme that was established via this promo shot when the album was first announced.
Perhaps Cave is still smarting from having his script for the Gladiator sequel rejected? Either way, this video allows him and Warren Ellis and the rest of the group to play around with guns, incorporate hilariously bad B-movie special effects and romp around in gladiator garb. Cave even lets his farts explode out of his ass at one point. You won’t see a better, or more entertaining, music video all year.
