That lavish repackaging of the Rolling Stones’ Exile on Main St. certainly looks worth purchasing, and if you needed any greater incentive to fill Mick Jagger and co’s pockets, Jimmy Fallon has arranged for a variety of musical guests to perform covers from the album on his show this week.
Green Day got a chance to canter through the album’s second track, “Rip This Joint,” last night (May 10). This is pretty much exactly what you’d expect from Green Day doing a Stones song—but the breakneck speed of “Rip This Joint” perfectly suits them, and kudos to the band for working in that sax solo halfway through.
I'm not or have never been a Green Day fan but, they did a decent job on this tune.
Proving that the Stones are timeless here is an up and coming popular beat combo, paying homage to Exile on Main Street, giving a fine and rocking rendition of 'Rip This Joint'. I predict a big future for Green Day
