Green Day have an expensive looking video out for their new single, "21 Guns." The clip finds the band performing the ballad in a room that was assaulted by gunfire, and a couple under similar circumstances. The gunfire is probably a metaphor for something, but was probably chosen because it looks sorta cool. This song is a perfect example how Green Day have opted for a generic and vague lyrical approach, but then claim that they're political now (or something). This is as political and meaningful as a Che Guevara poster in a dorm room.
Green Day's 21t Century Breakdown is out now.
